My name is Cherise Cox and I am a special education teacher at East Marshall Elementary. I began teaching at East Marshall in 2019. I attended East Marshall from kindergarten to third-grade then moved to Grinnell and graduated from there in 2012. I graduated from Grand View University in 2017 with my degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and language arts. In 2021, I finished my endorsements in Strat 1 and Strat 2 for special education and by the end of the school year in 2022 I will have my Masters in Education from Grand View University. Before teaching, I was a preschool para for two years in Grinnell. I live in Tama with my fiance Trae, our two dogs, and our two sons Oliver and Remington. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and playing games. Go Mustangs!
My name is Kelli Hulin and I am a special education teacher at East Marshall Elementary. I have been teaching at the elementary for 6 years. Before this position, I taught preschool in another district for 3 years. I graduated from UNI in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Early Childhood Special Education. I live in Laurel with my husband Racer and our daughter Kaisley. We enjoy spending time outdoors and being with family and friends. I am proud to be part of the Mustang community!
My name is Dana Wheater and I am the Title 1 teacher. I graduated from Davis County Community School in 1990. I attended and graduated from ISU in 1995 with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Reading and Math. I have also received my Masters degree from Viterbo. I began teaching at Green City, MO in 1996. I taught Title 1 Math and Reading for 3 years. I then moved to Marshalltown and started teaching at East Marshall Elementary in 1999, most recently 1st-grade. I am married to Scott Wheater. We have 3 children Kennedy (18), Drew (15) and Ashtyn (13). I love swimming, boating, sporting events, playing cards and games with my family. I love being a part of the East Marshall Community!
