Mrs. Reyner’s Spanish Classes
On el Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) all students celebrated by decorating cookies.
Spanish 1 has learned the Spanish alphabet, numbers from 0 to 1,000,000, dates, days of the week, telling time, Spanish-speaking countries and their capitals, and a brief conversation in Spanish. Next, they will learn the colors.
Spanish 2 has been working on regular verb conjugations in the present tense. Next, they will learn stem-changing verbs. In addition, they have been learning family member vocabulary (mother, father, sister, brother, etc.).
Spanish 3 has been learning the imperfect tense, which is one of the past tenses in Spanish. They have also been watching a weekly episode of a soap opera in Spanish.
Spanish 4 just finished the future tense and is now on to the conditional tense. They are also learning vocabulary words related to occupations such as lawyer, welder, physical therapist, and so forth. They are very near to finishing the weekly soap opera they started in Spanish 3.
Spanish 6 is watching “Man of la Mancha” as the finale of our unit on Don Quijote. She will next be reading a novel in Spanish.
