The English 9 classes are jumping into their Literary Circles. As a class, we read summaries from thirteen different books. Based on the student’s top picks, they were placed into groups. Students break their reading up into a two-week period. Students are responsible for completing their assigned literature roles and participating in student-led discussions over their group’s reading. The purpose of this literature circle activity is to encourage thoughtful discussion and to practice and develop the skills and strategies of good readers.
