Mr. Hull’s Financial Literacy Class
Financial Literacy classes began an investing unit where students explored a variety of ways to invest. After learning about the ins and outs of the stock market, they were asked to hypothetically invest 100 shares in 5 different companies on their 10th birthday and see how their investment would have changed until today. Students explored stock quotes from each year on their birthday and recorded in a spreadsheet the value of their stock, return on investment, and put their numbers into graph form. Needless to say, many students were wishing their money wasn’t in fact hypothetical.
