1st Grade Teachers Teach Students to be Neighborly Through STEM Integration

In 1st grade students participate in many different STEM activities throughout the year. One of the goals with STEM is to give students the opportunity to collaborate, work with a group, and learn how to work as a team. This aligns with the Mustang STRONG letter N character trait of being neighborly. In one activity students picked a STEM challenge card, chose a material to use, planned a design on paper, and built a structure. Students love STEM learning in 1st grade!
